Now that the quarter's (almost--got one more day!) over, I can post most of the art I've been overworking myself with these past few months!
Most of the page is covered with concept art for Midwinter that I created for Projects Development. The course is completely open; it allows you to, basically, develop a project from start to finish. I chose to knock out most the concept art I'd need for the pilot and try and do a few pages of the comic. For almost two straight months, I was drawing, coloring, or doing something art related every single day. I burned out about half way there, but picked myself back up and finished what I needed to.
A huge shout out to my fiance, ~trewbarton, who designed the weapons and helped me get them down on paper. It was definitely a good exercise is getting comfortable with drawing guns. I actually had the easiest time with the armor suits, design wise... I think it was from my past in the transformers fandom.
In the top right corner and continuing a bit past the halfway mark is the artwork I did for Web Media. It's essentially a class that teaches you how to use Dreamweaver and make websites. The five character lineup and matching pictures belong to my Image Map assignment, which is online here: [link] It's just a sub domain of my friend's site, but it does its job. Check it out, there are bios of each character listed.
The graphic of Nox and Pendiah back to back and the one of Nox smoking are for Midwinter's official website, which is what I'm working on finishing up this weekend. Hoping to have that up soon, as well!
Well, I think I covered all of it, enjoy!
P.S. Sorry about the watermarks. I know they kind of suck, but I gotta start doing it now on some of the designs. x:
You could've seen all of this sooner if you were on Midwinter's Facebook page!
Btw, though I'll probably announce it officially later, Midwinter now has its own group page!
Check it out and join up if you want more Midwinter-specific updates on DA! There's a decent amount of fanart to look through, too.
And those guns look really good too. Not gonna lie, I'm extremely happy web media is over. I never wan to use dreamweaver again. Just not my cup of tea.
Also, I can't wait to see more of Giles. I dunno if it's his bio or his overall look but I like him a lot.
Thanks~ c: I'm sure Mark would appreciate that compliment!
Man, I'm so glad it's over too, lol. Only reason I survived was because I knew some html and css. Only good thing about that program is the code/design split mode. |D
Awesome! His poster is actually the next one I'll be making, like Nox/Pendiah/Aaron's
I'm actually surprised Piper gave me a B after that thing with my final project. I didn't fix the whole thing (because I had no idea how and my cd was already burned) and I just kind of left.
I look forward to seeing him in all his poster glory!
